It's test week at the school where I work my part-time gig, so I have Friday afternoon off. We're going to take advantage of this quasi-long weekend by taking the high speed rail to Kaohsiung, which is in the south of Taiwan. Kaohsiung is 345 km from Taipei, but the ride only takes an hour and 27 minutes! We'd originally considered moving to Kaohsiung, so we're pretty interested to see what it's like- plus the weather has been chilly here lately (mid to high-20s) so we're looking forward to the warmer weather down south!
