Sunny Days By The Han

One of our very favorite things to do together is to lay on a blanket in the sun with some music and a good book on a warm afternoon. Well, our amazing jobs rudely take over our afternoon hours, so we've spent the last week high-tailing it to Hangang Park (the long strip of park all along the Han River) as soon as we've finished work almost every night to relax under the last few hours of sun. We've been going to different parts of the park and using different combinations of bus, taxi and subway to figure out the fastest possible way to get there.

We love the Han River and feel really fortunate to be so close to it. It's like a less-beautiful version of the sea wall in Vancouver, but it's good enough for us. It's a very relaxing place to spend time, and there are convenience stores all along the park so you're never too far away from your next bowl of ramen or draft beer. You can rent bikes and cycle along the trail that lines the length of the river, there's a flea market, gardens, fountains, swimming pools that will open in a few weeks, and there are even paddle-boat swans to rent if you don't mind paddling around a dead fish or two.
