Things you DON'T see in Korea

-Single file lines (push your way to the front and you're next!)
-Root Beer
-Wendys, Arbys, Taco Bell, A & W


-A sky filled with stars
-diversity (there are few blacks/indians/transylvanians)
-greek, mexican, chinese food
-drive-thrus
-sweet and sour sauce
-joggers
-fat people
-ugly people
-poorly dressed people
-indoor cats


-big dogs
-fruit punch
-bars or cafes with patios
-libraries
-the homeless
-horses, cows
-public garbage cans
-nice cars (they all look like 1980s style... very euro)
-a ten year old kid without a cell phone
-graffiti
-toilet paper in public washrooms (bring yer own or wipe with a sleeve)
-bathtubs
-ovens with stovetops (in 3 months I've never seen an oven)
-turkey
-salt and vinegar chips
-gay people
-cheap appliances like $9 digital alarm clocks, $20 toaster ovens/$50 microwaves...etc.)
-2nd hand stores
-handicapped people (at suyu, we saw some because we lived by a rehab, but that was it and they were never out-and-about)
-food colouring
-liquid vanilla (it's powder here)
-cold medication, allergy pills or any drugs like that available without a perscription
-drugs
-front lawns, lawnmowers
-picnic tables and bbqs
-cars blaring loud music on the weekends
-cars filled with hooting men
-sunsets and sunrises
-cars pulling over to the side of the road for emergency vehicles
-a pizza without pickles/corn
-a car without a dent

-cheese flavoured cheetos (they're 'beef' flavoured or 'hot')
-bumper stickers
-skateboards
-self-tanner (in fact, whitening creme is very popular)
-all chocolate bars except 'snickers'
-smoke-free restaraunts
-boobs
-wooden walls in houses (it's all concrete baby)
-an ice cream place like Baskin Robbins that DOESN'T sell red bean, pumpkin or green tea ice cream
- stores that bring their street merchandise in at night
-Tim Hortons (unless they're fake)
